With pick and place machines, facilities can reliably transfer components down the assembly line, move in new raw materials or place finished goods for shipping or transport with little to no human intervention.

CHALLENGE

Transferring product from one conveyor to another was impeding production speed, presenting the opportunity for human error and causing ergonomic issues for production workers.

Innov8tive Design Works concepted, designed and developed in partnership with GSA an end of arm tool that could efficiently and effectively handle a thin, flimsy and tacky product and consistently make the conveyor transfer accurately, in roughly 20% of the time of a human transfer.
